Description:: The being known as Gemsnake most often seen in these parts as the embodiment of his name, simply. A python of immense size, his greatest feature is his gem-like scales, appearing as if sapphire when he wishes to be seen. They are adept at manipulating light, making the predator virtually invisible when motionless. This suits Gemsnake, who is at heart a very lazy beast and does not wish to exert himself too much. He hardly has to when he manages to snatch up a young lady in his many powerful coils, easily powerful enough to crush her bones to shards. Those unfortunate enough to get caught, however, can expect a trip to his gut fully intact, and make no mistake, once captured, prey will not be escaping.
In addition to his camouflage, Gemsnake stores a powerful intoxicating venom that gets the victim 'high,' essentially enjoying most anything without a care in the world. On some this has been known to produce an aphrodisiac effect, but this varies from person to person.
